ell, has made terrific progress in moderniz-
ing its curriculum over the past few years.
The four languages - French, Spanish,
German, and Latin - :.tre now expanded
up to the founh year, and Spani~h will
offer a fifth year course:: on Latin American
liter:.lturc and culture for the first time next
year. A brand nCV< introductory French
course, wi rh books primed in France. was
tried this year on an experimental basis
The course was highly successfuL The de-
partment promises further innovations
when the [nrermcdi~te School is built. At
that time, all four languages will be offered
through the fifth year.
